Crimson Farms is located in the Santa Ynez Valley, frequently referred to as the “Valley of the Arabian Horse.”  The valley’s history with Arabian Horses includes such legends as Ferzon, Cognac, Wisdom, Khemosabi, and Barbary, along with influential breeders and trainers such as Gainey Fountainhead Arabians, Lasma West, Hemming Arabians, and Nichols-DeLongpre Arabians just to name a few.  The tradition of great Arabians being found here in ‘The Valley’ continues on with some of the most accomplished Arabians and Half-Arabians, and many Nationally and Internationally acclaimed breeders and trainers still calling it home.  

  At Crimson Farms, we strive to maintain a facility that will keep our horses not only healthy, but happy as well.  Our two large modern barns accommodate eighty-three box stalls, a fully equipped indoor breeding and stallion collection area, and a sophisticated breeding lab, along with other various amenities.  To provide comfort and safety for the horses while they are being handled in the barns, all barn isles, walkways, breeding areas, vet areas, and farrier areas in both barns have been covered with non-slip recycled rubber flooring. 

   Other features of the farm include numerous grass pastures for daily turnouts, an oversized outdoor training arena for plenty of working space, and a covered arena and covered round pen for the rainy times, assuring that the horses always have a place for exercise and time outside of their stalls. As a bonus, we are lucky to have two of the finest equine veterinary clinics in the country located within minutes of the ranch, which insures that competent veterinary care is always close at hand should the need arise. 

    Clients and guests can relax in our spacious lounge, or if they are feeling adventurous, they may choose to take a walk or ride along the Santa Ynez River, which runs through the ranch.

In December of 2008 we had the good fortune to add World Class Halter trainer Rich Simpkins to our staff. Rich has received Champion honors from such prestigious shows as Scottsdale, Nationals and the Las Vegas World Cup as well as honors from shows outside the country.

    For owners that wish to be more involved in the show ring experience, Rich is known for coaching amateurs to the National winner’s circle in their respective divisions as well.
